Brunching like its 1847: Enjoy the Finest Foods in the Historic Palais Todesco

In the ornate Palais Todesco, right across from the Vienna State Opera, Gerstner hosts a Viennese Sunday brunch that will wow visitors and locals alike.

Guests enjoy a choice selection of Viennese cuisine surrounded by gilded moldings and historic ceiling frescos, grand fire places and detailed wood paneling in its restaurant on the second floor.

From 11:00 to 14:00, guests can enjoy a delicious appetizer buffet with cuts of veal tenderloin, Volcano ham and crab salad. Main courses are prepared fresh by Gerstner’s chefs – fish, meat and vegetarian – and served to your table. To complete your culinary experience, Gerstner’s famed pastries and confections are a must.

This one-of-a-kind brunch can be had for €59 per person (not including drinks) and the premium version, at € 89, includes a selection of sparkling wine, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

Gerstner’s wide variety of pastries and confectioneries are also available at their shop on the ground floor. The charming bar on the first floor is decked out in velvet upholstery. It’s the perfect venue for a cozy coffee or hot chocolate after shopping, or try their selection of sparkling wines.

In these elegant surroundings, it’s easy to feel transported back to a time when the well-heeled aristocracy would stroll along the grand boulevard outside the window. Gerstner is also the ideal venue for upscale business meetings, offering a weekly lunch menu of Viennese and international cuisine as well as a private dining room for up to 14 guests. Reservations can be made on their website.
