Athleisure Brands you Should get to Know

The movement has been creeping up on us: yoga pants, breathable fabrics, mesh … activewear has morphed into the concept of “athleisure,” some interpretations of which we quite like.

The Women’s activewear scene is ever changing and, at the moment, it’s experiencing quite a revival. One the hottest entries in the field is this Los Angeles-based brand, which claims the trophy for most sought-after labels in its genre. Whether you’re strutting the streets, at the gym or looking fabulous at home, activewear is today‘s must-have wardrobe essential. Fusing the boundaries of active and fashion wear Koral managed to create a hybrid collection with signature pieces like head to toe jumpsuits, mesh crop tops, leather-look leggings and workout wear made out of the brand’s own patented fabrics. Many speculate this is just the beginning of a more pervasive athleisure trend. The look leaves it up to you; whether you‘re running, partying, at a team meeting or cuddled on the sofa, you‘ll be “sporting”
the right outfit.

Champion was founded one year after the First World War in 1919, and has made history since then through the brand’s influence in the sport, fashion and street wear scene. Over nearly a century of incredible craftsmanship, they were credited with developing innovative apparel like the hoodie, reversible shirts, the sports bra and “breathable” mesh clothing. In the 1980s, sweatshirts with the distinctive C logo were omnipresent, including on the fabled 1992 U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team (the “Dream Team”), or hip hop artists like the Wu-Tang Clan and Rick Ross. The glitz and glamour may be a thing of the past but their latest collaboration with Supreme once again proves: There may be a thousand contenders but only one Champion.

In 2013, Rhone was created to fill a void in the men’s athleisure market and to give you the opportunity to be dressed to impress no matter what you are doing or where you are. The promise of athletic leisure wear is business -casual meets sportswear, so the brand has created odor fighting, antimicrobial and quickly drying fabrics with maximum breathability. The label’s name stems from the Rhone glacier and river in Switzerland and France that resonates with the brands inspiration: A handsome line that is highly functional, always flowing and moving. Whether you’re running to catch a plane or completing your 10th marathon, these duds will have you looking sharp.
