On the night of Thursday, December 13th, 2018 – we offered the unique opportunity to our subscribers to meet with our editors, contributors and other readers to discuss our holiday issue about Cultural Heritage.
We were excited to welcome our special guest speaker, Robert Neumayer from Open House Theater. He introduced us to the tradition of the story “A Christmas Carol,” the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and a celebration of the spirit of Christmas.
Another honored speaker was our editor in chief Dardis McNamee, writer of December issues cover story, who shared with us how Austrians know who they are – “The Power of Culture”.
Further speakers were Nenad Memic, writer of the story “A Country in Search of Itself”, who brought us closer to his home country Bosnia and Herzegovina and Simon Ballam who talked about “Bubbly at the Bar” and shared some insights on the Campaign Industry.
The METROPOLE Salon is a monthly get-together for Metropolitans to socialize and to meet our writers and our team. They can also bring along friends to get acquainted with the magazine and the community. It always takes place at a new location in Vienna with wine, music and great conversation. A few journalists present their stories from the current issue and we invite prominent personalities to give a short talk.
