What is sexual identity, anyway?, Canadian performer Dana Michel asked herself. And, whether insisting on a certain kind of sexuality may not, in fact, constitute a form of oppression. So she went in search of a sexual education that meets the complex demands of today’s identities. Thus Michel, who garnered international acclaim with her pieces Yellow Towel and Mercurial George, made herself the starting point of her quest: as a “performer, mother, daughter, lover and stranger”, and as an avid sex researcher with a latent interest in the job of a sexologist.
