Women’s Safehouses Vienna

Frauenhäuser Wien provides 24-hour emergency help for abuse victims. If you and your children are facing abuse from an ex-husband, husband, partner, they will provide protection, assistance and accommodation, regardless of your nationality, religion or income. Frauenhäuser Wien also provides a counselling center for women and provide court assistance.

Sigmund Freud University has a Psychological Outpatient Clinic for treatment for addiction, stress, burnout, chronic pain, aggression, emotional and social skills training, concentration and more by way of individual and group therapy. Payment is income-based. All of their services are offered in English.

Women’s Helpline Against Violence offers a free, English-language, anonymous, confidential and around the clock helpline for women facing violence. They offer help for women and girls threatened by violence, affected by stalking or forced marriage, relationship or life crises, for those seeking advice on violence, and more. They provide counseling by phone, immediate help in dangerous situations, legal information, accompaniment in court, police interventions and other forms of support.

Online Consultations for women and girls facing violence offers a help chat service every day from 16.00 to 22.00. It is for women and girls facing physical, psychological and sexual violence in their lives. You will find information about legal support, women’s support groups and available protection for victims. HELPCHAT offer consultations in German, English and Turkish.

Women’s service in Vienna (Das Frauenservice Wien) is a consultation service for women and girls in the city of Vienna In need of support for legal affairs, offers legal consultation, a 24-hour Emergency Hotline for women and girls facing psychical or psychological violence, support for projects and communities and more. You may also order articles and books related to different themes and how they affect women.

Women Counsel Women

Women Counsel Women (Frauen Beraten Frauen) offers free, English-language counselling and psychotherapy for women with relationship or health problems, depression and anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, with questions about sexuality, about conflicts with children, issues in the workplace and others. This includes psychological counselling, individual and group psychotheraphy, legal advice, support through speratation and divorce, meditation talks, etc.

Autonome Österreichische Frauenhäuser provides a network of available safehouses for women across Austria, it outlines laws in Austria for protection against violence and provides education on domestic abuse.
