This Human World Film Festival 2016

Raising awareness for human rights on the silver screen

A film festival with a social conscience, the 9th edition of This Human World visualizes human rights in all its forms with about 100 features, documentaries and shorts. Highlights include Werner Herzog’s controversial musings in Lo and Behold (pictured), a documentary exploring the internet and how it affects our world and personal relationships; Avo Kaprealian’s portrayal of war-torn Aleppo in Houses Without Doors; and Selma Doborac’s exploration of the Bosnian war in Those Shocking Shaking Days. Performances, lectures, workshops and discussions with leading experts and filmmakers round out the selection.
