Salon: Palentine’s Day!

METROPOLE kicked off the 2020 event season with its first Salon where we held the ultimate meet-and-greet soirée: speed networking on “Palentine’s Day” (the day before Valentine’s to celebrate with friends aka you and the rest of our Metropolitan community).

We were very excited to welcome you back for another year of atmospheric events and a good time with fellow Metropolitans. We were lucky to have a special guest, a member of the von Trapp family made famous in the Film The Sound of Music, Gardiner von Trapp, who took us through a family history and even showcased some of their music.

We enjoyed delicious food and drinks from our co-hosts APRON and meet pals familiar and new. They showcased a few of their menu items, like a marinated trout, beef tartar and an eggplant caviar.

The METROPOLE Salon is a monthly get-together for Metropolitans to socialize and to meet our writers and our team. They can also bring along friends to get acquainted with the magazine and the community. It always takes place at a new location in Vienna with wine, music and great conversation. A few journalists present their stories from the current issue and we invite prominent personalities to give a short talk.
