Discover the City’s art World at Vienna Art Week

This year’s Vienna Art Week motto will focus on the relationships between art and technology in locations all over Vienna

Like every year, most of Vienna’s major museums, galleries, independent exhibition venues and art spaces will join forces this November to offer a comprehensive look into the Viennese art scene, with over 200 events by 70 program partners.

This year’s motto: transforming technology, will delve into the topic of new technologies, their impact on art and the various relations between the two fields. The festival program offers different formats like lectures, film screenings, guided tours, performances, talks and exhibitions, aiming to cater to enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The performative interview marathon, which was introduced last year, will also return to the MAK, featuring an equally international and local lineup of experts and artists like François Roche and Geert Lovnik, or Christina Lammer and Axel Stockburger – to name a few – who will be discussing this year’s topic from a variety of perspectives this Tuesday.

Formats like Alternative Space Open House and Open Studio Day will offer tours of alternative art spaces, workspaces, artist-in-residence studios and public art projects on Wednesday. So don’t miss out and check out the whole program here.

From November 13th through the 19th at various locations around Vienna.
