Vienna was listed as the “greenest city in the world” in The World’s 10 Greenest Cities 2020 ranking, ahead of European peers like Munich, Berlin, and Madrid. More than 100 big cities worldwide were compared. Based on criteria such as the proportion of parks and public green spaces, air quality, public transport, and markets, Vienna came out on top.
